Generative
Designer_
Strange attractors, curves, reaction-diffusion and fluid simulation, layered and tuned live in the browser. The program at the heart of my book Generative Art, now on OpenWorks.

What it does
Attractors
Clifford, De Jong, Ikeda, Lorenz, Rössler and Duffing systems, drawn as GPU density maps of hundreds of thousands of points.
Curves
Lissajous figures, harmonographs and rose curves: the classic geometry of drawing machines.
Layers
Stack algorithms with blend modes, and let one layer feed another - an attractor seeding reaction-diffusion, a fluid stirring the result.
Live parameters
Every coefficient is a slider. Change it and the image changes as you watch; presets give you starting points.
Export
Save PNG and SVG stills, or WebM and GIF animations, ready to print or share.
Play it
MIDI input maps controllers to parameters, so an image can be performed like an instrument.
The talk
Generative Art: Using Computers to Achieve Artistic Expression - Deep Tech with Amir.
The book
Generative Art explains how algorithmic art is made and walks through the methods behind Generative Designer, so you can take the program further yourself.
